Van papier, tot pulp, tot papier
Iets wat altijd in elk huis wel voor handen is: oud papier! Door het in te leveren in de papierbak wordt het gerecycled. Dit kun je ook zelf doen door van je oud papier nieuw papier te maken. Wat erg makkelijk werkt zijn oude kranten, omdat het zulk dun papier is maak je er makkelijk pulp van. Je kunt ook karton, folders en ander papier gebruiken. Scheur het papier in kleine stukken en laat het weken tot het verzadigd in een emmer water. Let op, de inkt op het papier kan afgeven aan bijvoorbeeld de emmer die je gebruikt. De pulp maak je fijner door het in een blender te doen of een mixer te gebruiken. Zorg dat je genoeg water toevoegt anders is het te zwaar voor de mixer.
Van dit pulp kun je met behulp van een schepraam nieuw papier scheppen! In het papier kun je allerlei andere planten, materialen en bloemen verwerken. Je kunt spelen met de grofheid en kleur van je papierpulp. Door de variatie in materialen kun je diverse texturen, structuren en reliëfs creëren. Dit is een heel leuk experiment en zorgt elke keer weer voor een ander resultaat en is elk stuk papier uniek!
Dit papier kun je op allerlei manieren verwerken. Bijvoorbeeld als kaarten, briefpapier, je kunt het kunstwerkje inlijsten, of er een 3D-object van maken. De mogelijkheden zijn eigenlijk eindeloos.
